This program gets you ready for entry-level jobs in medical billing and coding. You’ll learn how to work with patient records, schedule appointments, handle medical office tasks, and process insurance claims. These skills can be used in doctors' offices, hospitals, insurance companies, and other healthcare settings.

In the program, you'll:

• Learn medical terminology and basic billing and coding concepts

• Practice using healthcare computer systems and electronic health records

• Get hands-on training in coding diseases, surgeries, and medical procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS

• Learn how to prepare and send insurance claims — and how to handle denied claims

• Understand important healthcare privacy laws (like HIPAA)

By the end of the program, you’ll be prepared to take certification exams and start your career in the growing healthcare field.
