Course Description

In this course, you’ll learn the basics of working safely in an auto or transportation repair shop. You’ll get hands-on experience with common tools, learn how to handle hazardous materials safely, and understand key vehicle systems. You’ll also study safety gear (PPE), safety rules, and the regulations repair shops must follow.

Plus, you’ll be introduced to alternative fuel vehicles — like hybrids, electric cars, and vehicles that run on biodiesel, ethanol, hydrogen, and more. You’ll learn how these fuels work, how the systems are built, and how to do basic repairs on them.
