Course Description

This course teaches students how to handle food safely and keep things clean to prevent illness. You'll learn why good hygiene and proper food handling are important, and what can happen if safety rules aren’t followed. Topics include how infections spread, how to stay safe and clean while working with food, and what the law says about health and safety at work (based on the Occupational Health & Safety Act).
