Course Description

This course gives you a basic introduction to the world of digital media. You’ll learn about the latest tools, trends, and technologies used in the industry, as well as important terms and design concepts. We’ll also explore different types of media, potential careers in digital media, and important ethical issues. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to recognize and use different digital media formats.

Learner Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  • Define features, uses and practical development for print and digital graphics, audio, video, and websites.
  • Define the core concepts and skills of digital media production, planning and digital storytelling using text, graphics, photographs, sound, motion and video.
  • Demonstrate skills for effective media project planning, design and production.
